Every requirement, not the highlights

A rebate is lost on the smallest of these. Check the list against your own house before you plan around the money.

  • Requires the household to be a current PSE natural gas or dual-fuel customer
  • Central ducted air-source heat pump paired with a gas furnace; ductless is not eligible

Who files it, and how the money reaches you

Your installing contractor files it. You never see a cheque. The rebate is filed against your project and shows up as a credit on the job, which is why the contractor has to be inside the program network before the work starts.

Not applicable in Bellingham. Listed here so nobody quotes it by mistake.

PSE requires a contractor inside its network

PSE pays this class of rebate only when the work is done by a Trade Ally or Recommended Energy Professional — DIY and out-of-network installations are excluded, however good the workmanship. Ask us to confirm network status for your specific project before you count on the money, and get the answer before you sign anything.

Hybrid Heat Pump Rebate — questions we get

How much does the Hybrid Heat Pump Rebate pay in 2026?
$1,500. $2,400 with Efficiency Boost — but not reachable from a Bellingham address. Administered by Puget Sound Energy, verified 2026-09-04 against the program's own published terms.
Who files the Hybrid Heat Pump Rebate paperwork?
Your installing contractor files it. Not applicable in Bellingham. Listed here so nobody quotes it by mistake.
When does the Hybrid Heat Pump Rebate expire?
No published end date. Amounts and deadlines on utility and manufacturer programs change without notice, so we re-check the specific program before a project is committed.
Is the Hybrid Heat Pump Rebate available at a Bellingham address?
Unavailable in Bellingham. This rebate requires PSE natural gas service, and Bellingham’s gas utility is Cascade Natural Gas. PSE supplies electricity to all of Whatcom County but no natural gas, so a gas-heated Bellingham home currently has no PSE gas-to-heat-pump conversion rebate at all.
